Tourism – Signing ceremony for nine new destination contracts (Paris, June 25, 2015)

Laurent Fabius presided over the signing ceremony for nine new destination contracts today, in the presence of Martine Pinville, Minister of State for Commerce, Small-Scale Industry, Consumer Affairs and the Social and Solidarity Economy.

Representatives of regional executives, as well as locally and nationally elected representatives attended this ceremony aimed at promoting 9 new destinations: “Provençal lifestyles,” “Focus on Louvre-Lens,” Brittany, Champagne, Corsica, Guyana, “Paris, the enhanced city,” the Pyrenees, and the Dordogne valley.” These 9 contracts are in addition to the first 11 contracts signed on December 16.

This initiative, which was announced by Laurent Fabius following the tourism conferences in June 2014, makes it possible to bring all French tourism stakeholders – both public and private – together in order to promote a single regional brand and to provide a more structured tourism sector that has an increased international profile.
