The minister for Europe and foreign affairs is taking part in the Meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Brussels today.
Following the publication of the strategic review of defense and national security, Jean-Yves Le Drian will share with his counterparts our assessment of Europe’s strategic environment and will present France’s efforts to revitalize European defense. With respect to Russia, he will signal our attachment to the approach set out at the Warsaw summit, based on striking a balance between dialogue and rigor.
This meeting will be preceded by a working lunch hosted by Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. It will provide an opportunity for the European ministers to discuss key international issues with Rex Tillerson, U.S. Secretary of State.
