IAEA – Conversation between Catherine Colonna and the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (August 25, 2022)

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna spoke today in Paris with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The minister expressed her deep concern over the deterioration of the security situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. She reaffirmed France’s support for sending an IAEA mission to the site and assured the IAEA director general that France was working at the highest levels to assist him in achieving this goal.
The minister and the director general also discussed the Iranian nuclear issue.
