Q: What did Jean-Yves Le Drian agree with Heiko Maas at the NATO ministerial meeting at the beginning of the week?

A: During their meeting on November 20, the NATO foreign ministers discussed the need to launch a strategic review of NATO’s vision of its values and its goals, and the means it will employ to achieve them.

To that end, France and Germany, which had exchanged views on this topic before the ministerial meeting, made proposals for entrusting a group of prominent figures with the responsibility for leading this discussion process.

Discussions are continuing in this regard between allies in preparation for the meeting of heads of state and government in London from December 3 to 4.
