Project Pegasus - Q&A from the press briefing (21 July 2021)

Q: Hello. Was the French government aware of the fact that Morocco had attempted to spy on top government officials, beginning with Emmanuel Macron? Will the information released by Forbidden Stories have repercussions on French-Moroccan relations, and on French-Israeli relations, given that Pegasus was sold by Israel? If so, what would they be ?

A: I refer you to the remarks made by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs at the Senate: “The facts that were reported, should they be proved true, are extremely serious. France has ordered investigations into their accuracy. As they are still under way, we cannot comment further on this subject.”
