Freedom of expression – Speech delivered by Harlem Désir at the symposium hosted by Cartooning for Peace (September 21, 2015)

Harlem Désir participated, September 21, 2015, in the symposium entitled “Press Cartoons: A State of Affairs” hosted by Cartooning for Peace at the Economic, Social and Environmental Council.

He exchanged views with cartoonist Plantu during a round table on the theme of “Freedom of expression and Europe in all this?” Harlem Désir reaffirmed the French government’s determination to defend press freedom and the freedom of expression in France and throughout the world.

The minister of state for European affairs received the participants at a meeting at the Quai d’Orsay to commend the work and commitment of these personalities in support of these values.
