The Villa Méditerranée in Marseille will host the “Medi-Media Conference: the media in the Mediterranean” from October 23 to 24, which will bring together journalists from both sides of the Mediterranean. This conference, organized in cooperation with the Marseille-Provence-Alpes du Sud Press Club, will provide an opportunity for journalists to discuss their work and to share ideas on best practices, the freedom of the press and the emergence of new media, especially social media.
Four round tables will focus on new media, the Greek crisis, the refugee tragedy, and news reporting during the Syrian conflict.
At the same time, a meeting of the Radio Commission of COPEAM, a professional association that brings together broadcasters from the regions around the Mediterranean, will take place at the Villa Méditerranée on October 23. A partnership agreement between COPEAM and the Villa Méditerranée will be signed on this occasion.
The Villa Méditerranée, which was opened in 2013, is a forum for the exchange of ideas, exhibitions and conferences aimed at strengthening Mediterranean cooperation. For more information, please visit: villa-mediterranee.org
