Innovative tools for learning and teaching French

Through the agency of the Institut Français, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs pursues a proactive policy of developing information and communication technology (ICT) tools for the teaching and promotion of French.

Incorporating the latest digital technology into traditional language teaching systems opens up a wealth of multimedia and interactive applications available to bring teaching methods into the 21st century.

It is also a democratic issue and a major asset in communication and bringing cultures together.

For a number of years now, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has coproduced or commissioned teaching resources designed to bolster learner skills and develop educational engineering, whether in the shape of educational content, online or distance learning and multimedia products, in cultural and educational establishments and for institutional language cooperation partners.
