Francophonie - Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne’s participation in the plenary session of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) devoted to Francophonie (Paris, Jan. 12)

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State for Tourism, French Nationals Abroad and Francophonie, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, was invited by the Economic, Social and Environmental Council to take part today in its first plenary session of 2021.

The minister of state will pay tribute to the CESE’s mobilization in the area of Francophonie over the long term and will talk about the key priorities shared by France and the International Organization of La Francophonie: civil society’s role, digital technology, gender equality, international solidarity, education and youth.

Marie-Béatrice Levaux, member of the CESE and Vice President of the Union of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions of Francophonie (UCESIF), will present a draft resolution entitled “Building contemporary Francophonie together with citizens,” in preparation for the next summit due to take place in Djerba (Tunisia) this year.
