Harlem Désir received in Paris his German counterpart, Michael Roth, and his Polish counterpart, Rafal Trzaskowski, for a meeting in the Weimar Triangle format.
The meetings was devoted to the major current European and international issues. They notably focused on the refugee crisis, on strengthening the Economic and Monetary Union as well as on preparations for the Paris Climate Conference.
During this meeting, they bestowed the Adam Mickiewicz Award upon Wolf Lepenies, Adam Michnik and Edgar Morin. This prize has been awarded since 2006 and recognizes those who work to promote rapprochement between Germany, France and Poland. This ceremony was followed by a round table on the theme “Diverse perspectives on the Weimar Triangle in its 25th year: French, German and Polish responsibility for the future of Europe” led by Jacques Rupnik.
