Laurent Fabius will participate in a ministerial meeting in Barcelona on April 13 devoted to the European southern neighborhood policy.
The meeting is organized by Federica Mogherini, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, José Manuel García-Margallo, Spanish Foreign Minister, and Edgars Rinkēvičs, Latvian Foreign Minister. In addition to the 28 European Union member states, it will bring together our eight partners from the southern shore of the Mediterranean (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Territories and Tunisia).
The discussions will allow us to tackle the common challenges we are encountering in the Mediterranean. Looking ahead to the 2015 Paris Climate Conference (COP21), Mr. Fabius will talk, among other things, about the challenges in the fight against climate disruption.
