Together with my Moroccan counterpart, Salaheddine Mezouar, I will receive, on October 28 in Marseille, the foreign affairs ministers of the 5+5 Dialogue, which brings together both shores of the Mediterranean and the co-presidency of which France and Morocco hold this year.
This forum brings together Algeria, Spain, France, Italy, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Mauritania, Portugal and Tunisia.
This meeting will provide an opportunity to strengthen our dialogue and our security cooperation at a time when the regional crises in Syria, Iraq, Libya, the Sahel and the Middle East are of course a topic of great concern.
We also wanted this 13th edition of the 5+5 Dialogue to focus on the future, especially the future of the young people in our countries. Based on the conviction that we must provide them with answers with respect to mobility, training and academic, economic and cultural exchanges, this meeting will also provide an opportunity to meet with young people who will have taken part in the annual forum of the Anna Lindh Foundation in Malta a few days before.
