European Union – Visit by Nathalie Loiseau to the European Parliament (Strasbourg, 5 July 2017)

Nathalie Loiseau, Minister for European Affairs, is visiting Strasbourg today.

She will take part, alongside President Tajani and Dagmar Havlova, widow of President Havel, and in the presence of Roland Ries, Mayor of Strasbourg, in the inauguration of the new European Parliament building which will be named after Vaclav Havel.

She will meet with Antonio Tajani, President of the European Parliament.

As President Macron did so at the ceremony to pay tribute to Helmut Kohl at the European Parliament on July 1, 2017, the minister will reaffirm the French authorities’ attachment to the seat of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, a symbol of the reconciliation of our continent and of the polycentric Europe that the EU’s founding fathers sought to create.
