European Union - Harlem Désir’s visit to Air France facilities (Roissy, March 9)

European affairs minister Harlem Désir is visiting Air France’s facilities at Roissy to discuss the following issues with Frédéric Gagey, the group’s president and CEO: competition between European companies and third countries, the organization of European airspace, and the use of passenger name records (PNR).

Mr. Désir will also visit the Air France operations control center, which manages passenger flows and the company’s fleet.

He will receive an update on the status of the Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) program, designed to reduce flight times, limit delays within European airspace, and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. Nearly 2,500 people in Europe are involved in this concrete project, which reflects Europe’s ambitions with respect to R&D and our joint commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
