Harlem Désir, minister of state for European Affairs and secretary-general for Franco-German cooperation, took part in the Evian Franco-German Meetings on September 4 and 5.
Each year, the Evian Franco-German Meetings bring together some 40 heads of large companies from both countries. Designed to strengthen ties between companies and foster discussions on the economy and the international financial situation, they reflect the dynamism of the Franco-German partnership. Manuel Valls is this year’s guest of honor.
Mr. Désir and his German counterpart, Michael Roth, reviewed such urgent European issues as migration, growth, energy, and climate.
