Nathalie Loiseau took part today in a citizens’ consultation on the theme of “My vision of culture in Europe” organized together with the members of the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) network.

The citizens’ consultations on the future of Europe are taking place between April and October in the 27 member states of the European Union and are aimed at generating new ideas and proposals in order to pave the way toward refounding Europe.

The EUNIC network brings together 36 European institutes responsible for cultural action. They are present in more than 105 countries with more than 2,000 establishments and thousands of local partners.

While France takes over the presidency of this network today for a period of one year, the minister sent a proactive message on EU cultural diplomacy; France is committed to strengthening the role of culture in the EU’s external action, consolidating European cultural heritage as a strategic asset and encouraging the emergence of a European cultural conscience.
