Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will sign, on December19, 12 partnership agreements on providing humanitarian assistance with several companies, corporate foundations, family foundations and associations working at the international level. Four agreements will be renewed and eight new collaboration agreements will be signed, involving a total of 22 partners.
The private sector is playing a growing and vital role in the management of emergency humanitarian situations, making it possible, thanks to its mobilization and synergies, to optimize relief efforts. These partnerships may take various forms: in-kind donations, skills-based sponsorship arrangements or the co-financing of projects. They reflect the Quai d’Orsay’s determination to work closely with private stakeholders and civil society through innovative and ambitious projects.
By signing these partnerships, Jean-Yves Le Drian reaffirms his determination to strengthen the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs crisis and support center’s capacity to respond to humanitarian emergencies.
