Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, Minister of State for Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will be in Washington from October 13-14 as the head of the French delegation to the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.

There, she will champion France’s vision for bolstering the work of the international financial institutions in order to preserve global public goods and for mobilizing additional assistance for developing country partners, who, faced with the current crises, are more vulnerable now than ever.

In particular, she will highlight the French president’s initiative to reallocate IMF Special Drawing Rights to vulnerable countries.
