On October 5, Franck Riester, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, inaugurated his “Export Revival Tour.” Its first edition included the Vice President of the Regional Council of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, the heads of the founding members of Team France Export (Business France, CCI France, Bpifrance) and other government and private actors that provide support for exports.
The Minister Delegate presented several hundred businesses in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region with 13 measures designed to support the internationalization of French companies and boost their presence abroad. They consist of a massive increase in the tools available to provide exporters with information, support and funding. The Minister stressed the “export revival check” available to companies as of October 1, as well as the system of international business volunteers (VIE) and the promotion of Marque France. The export component of the economic recovery plan, dubbed “France Relance,” is designed to restore the promising momentum our country was experiencing on the export front before the crisis.
Mr. Riester also underscored the coordination of measures from the export segment of France Relance with regional support for internationalizing businesses, in line with the government foreign trade strategy presented in Roubaix in 2018 that made partnership between the central and regional governments the cornerstone of public support for exporters.
