Matthias Fekl, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad, visited Indonesia from April 6 to 7 with a delegation of about 20 French companies from the aerospace, energy, transport, tourism and telecommunications sectors.
He met with several members of the Indonesian government, a country with which we have a strategic partnership, and in particular with Retno Marsudi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and with the ministers for transport, planning, trade and communications, as well as with the deputy minister for tourism.
Matthias Fekl discussed the development of our bilateral trade relations with his interlocutors and presented the measures we have taken to enhance our country’s attractiveness.
Matthias Fekl visited the Sanofi plant that will produce the dengue fever vaccine in Indonesia. With 7.5 million cases per year, Indonesia has the second highest incidence of this disease in the world.
Lastly, the minister of state met with the French community in Jakarta.
