Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism, and French Nationals Abroad opened Rencontres Africa 2016 today in Paris at the Economic, Social and Environmental Council.
This event brings together more than 2,000 entrepreneurs from France and more than 30 African countries. It is the largest economic event France has ever hosted on Africa.
Rencontres Africa 2016 illustrates our intention to further step up our exchanges with Africa, as the recovery begun in 2012 continues. Mr. Fekl will stress the tools the government has put in place since 2012, including the establishment of Business France, which now has eight chapters on the African continent.
Jean-Marc Ayrault, who is currently in New York, addressed the meeting’s attendees via video.
