The annual figures just released by TV France International and the Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée continued to show strong international growth for French television and film productions.
At 210.3 million euros in 2014, these were the highest figures ever recorded, up 17.1% in sales and pre-sales compared with the previous year. That growth was fastest in Asia and Oceania. During Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang’s visit to Marseille on July 1, he and Laurent Fabius discussed this topic with Renaud Cohen, a French director and screenwriter.
The foreign affairs and international development ministry’s 60 audiovisual attachés are working hard in 113 countries to support French television and film productions and to provide them with financial and human support.
