The call for applications for the French Tech Ticket, a program aimed at attracting talented individuals from around the world with innovative entrepreneurial projects to France, was closed on September 15. It generated 1,372 applications and more than 700 projects. The 50 selected entrepreneurs will come to France in January 2016.
In addition to a €12,500 prize awarded by BPIfrance, the winners of the French Tech Ticket will benefit from a fast track procedure to obtain a French residence permit, allowing them to live and work in France so that they can develop their projects in one of the nine incubators participating in the program.
Technological innovation is an important catalyst for growth and a key component of France’s attractiveness. Thanks to its diplomatic network, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development has played an active role in ensuring the success of this program.
