BlueIndy, an electric car sharing service, opened today in Indianapolis. The opening was attended by Mayor Greg Ballard.
Similar to Autolib en France, this service was launched by the Bolloré Group with the support of Business France and our consulate-general in Chicago. Starting with a fleet of 50 electric cars, it plans to eventually offer 500 vehicles, making it the U.S.’s largest electric car sharing program.
This form of innovative, eco-friendly transportation, for which France is renowned, is one of the future solutions for cities committed to meeting the challenges of climate disruption.
