Business France received the Best Trade Promotion Organization from a Developed Country award on November 24, 2016. This prize is awarded every two years by the International Trade Center, a joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations. It notably recognizes the innovative nature of the program to accelerate and support the international growth of SMEs and mid-tier firms implemented by the agency.
This program aims to improve the long-term support for future “export champions.” More than 850 rapidly growing SMEs and mid-tier firms have therefore launched their international operations thanks to personalized support from Business France advisors and 65% of them have signed or negotiated export contracts.
The prize awarded by the International Trade Center highlights the work that has been done to improve support for the internationalization of SMEs and mid-tier firms since the creation of Business France in January 2015, in collaboration with the bank, bpifrance, and COFACE [French export credit insurance agency]. With 93 offices in 70 countries, Business France’s 1,500 employees work every day to help French firms expand their export operations, enhance our country’s attractiveness for international investment and promote France’s business image.
