Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, traveled Lille on Monday, December 5. He visited the EuraTechnologies business park together with the Mayor of Lille, Martine Aubry, Pierre de Saintignon, Chairman of EuraTechnologies, First Deputy Mayor of Lille and officials from the business park.
EuraTechnologies is a 150,000 m² business park in the Bois-Blancs neighborhood which provides services to more than 200 firms, promoting economic development through the transfer of technology and innovation. The minister visited Giroptic, which develops and sells 360-degree video recording equipment. This firm won the “Pass French Tech” award and has been selected to take part in the “Ubi i/o” initiative in San Francisco helping startups accelerate their development in the United States thanks to support provided by Business France. The minister also met with a panel of around 10 entrepreneurs to discuss economic challenges in the high-tech field.
The minister concluded his visit by closing, at 5:00 pm, a seminar on cross-border cooperation on maritime safety, attended by Belgian, British, and Dutch delegations, at the prefecture of the Department of Nord.
