The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and the Ministry of the Economy, Industry and the Digital Sector will host the “Development and Digital Africa Days” from October 26 to 28 in Bercy.
This event is part of the efforts to implement the “Development and Digital Technology Plan” published in December 2015 aimed at strengthening the role of digital technology in our development assistance policy.
This plan was drafted in collaboration with public and private stakeholders and associations and sets out the priority actions, notably with respect to strengthening the links between the French and African digital ecosystems.
This event will also provide an opportunity to present the Open Government Partnership Summit due to take place in France from December 7 to 9.
André Vallini, Minister of State for Development and Francophonie, will deliver a speech on the closing day of the event and will emphasize the role played by digital technology in development strategies, especially in Africa.
