André Vallini, Minister of State for Development and Francophonie, took part this morning in the conference of donors and investors, organized by Madagascar with the support of the World Bank. The Madagascan delegation was led by President Hery Rajaonarimampianina, accompanied by several ministers.
This major event for Madagascar should give a decisive boost to the country’s economic recovery. André Vallini reaffirmed France’s support for the people of Madagascar and for the recovery efforts initiated in 2014. France, notably through the French Development Agency, is Madagascar’s leading bilateral donor and one of its main economic partners.
France’s commitment was renewed and strengthened at the conference, bringing it to €100 million in loans and grants over the next three years in support of implementing Madagascar’s national development plan.
