Development - “The French and France’s Development Assistance Policy” Barometer (september 23, 2015)

A few days ahead of the UN Summit on Sustainable Development Goals, and two months ahead of the Paris Climate Conference, the French Development Agency has published the 10th edition of “The French and France’s Development Assistance Policy” Barometer.

This survey underscores the generosity of the French toward the most vulnerable people, the need for sustainable development all over the world and the importance of the link between development assistance and the fight against climate disruption.

Two out of every three French citizens (67%) say they are in favor of the development policy, i.e. an increase of 5 percentage points within the space of a year. This policy is a symbol of pride for more than one out of every two French citizens. 76% consider climate disruption to be “a serious threat.”
