During the Czech presidency of the Visegrad Group, which includes Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the first “Night of Philosophy France – Visegrad” will be held in Prague, with support from the Institut Français in Paris.
The event will run through the evening and into the wee hours.
Fifty-five philosophers from France and the Visegrad countries will discuss the topic of “Images, Sciences and Politics.”
Exhibits, film screenings, readings, concerts and discussions will be open to the public.
Hosted by the Czech Academy of Sciences, Charles University and the National Gallery of Prague, with support from CEFRES - French Research Center in Humanities and Social Sciences, this event is co-funded by the International Visegrad Fund and the Institut Français in Prague.
