On 26 January, M. Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, will open the second Night of Ideas, during an evening of debates at the Quai d’Orsay on the theme “L’Europe en commun(s)” [“A shared Europe”].
This year the Night of Ideas, run by the Institut français, will give rise to 100 events in France and 40 other countries.
From Tokyo, with the Night of Oceans, to Los Angeles, with the Night of Utopias, the Night of Ideas will take the form of many discussions focusing on a common theme: a shared world.
The night, devoted to the free movement of ideas around the world, will provide an opportunity for all those who so wish to discover, learn and discuss. Through this new concept, M. Jean-Marc Ayrault wanted to encourage the discussion of ideas between the public, the Institut français and the French cultural network abroad.
