Culture – 2018 Venice Biennale of Architecture – Selection of architect for the French Pavilion (2 October 2017)

After receiving proposals from the selection committee chaired by architect and urban planner Frédéric Bonnet, Minister for Europe and International Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian and Culture Minister Françoise Nyssen selected the “Infinite Spaces” project by the Encore Heureux team for the French Pavilion of the 2018 Venice Biennale of Architecture – the prestigious showcase of international architecture running from May 26 to November 25, 2018.

This project is supported by the Institut français, operator of the French Pavilion on behalf of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture.

Mr. Le Drian and Ms. Nyssen praised the ambitiousness of the project by architects Nicola Delon, Julien Choppin, and Sébastien Eymard, which explores the nexus between civil society initiatives and the possibilities afforded by architecture. They also want to pay tribute to the efforts and caliber of the entries by all candidates.
