France applauds the success of the Milan International Exposition, hosted by Italy. Over six months, more than 21 million visitors visited this event, which explored issues of food security and sustainable development through its theme, “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.”
France had a share in the event’s success. The French pavilion, supported by six ministries including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, drew more than 2.2 million visitors, and the Bureau International des Expositions awarded it a prize for the most beautiful architecture. The pavilion hosted 50 discussions and showcased French food and lifestyles, our agrifood sector, and efforts to promote sustainable development in agriculture.
On the occasion of this event, President Hollande announced Paris’s candidacy for Expo 2025.
