During the round table aimed at mobilizing civil society actors in support of climate action convened by President Macron on June 6, Jean-Yves Le Drian reaffirmed France’s commitment to the fight against climate disruption.
He presented the concrete initiatives that France would like to implement in Europe and in Africa within the framework of the action plan launched by President Macron. He took the opportunity to reaffirm the need for solidarity with the most vulnerable countries in order to address the consequences of climate disruption.
Jean-Yves Le Drian notably discussed these issues this week with his Saudi counterpart (June 6) and his Polish and Norwegian counterparts (June 7). The fight against climate disruption will also be on the agenda during his meetings in Cairo today with his Egyptian counterpart and in Prague tomorrow with his Czech counterpart.
