Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, received the most recent graduating class of the French-American Foundation’s “Young Leaders” program at the Quai d’Orsay.
Jean-Marc Ayrault congratulated the young people selected on the basis of their outstanding achievements and their willingness to contribute to the development of French-American relations. He paid tribute to the work of the French-American Foundation, which has worked to strengthen French-American friendship for 40 years.
This program aims to build ties between young American and French leaders who will have a key role to play in transatlantic relations. Some 20 young French and American citizens are selected every year by a jury in France and the United States. More than 400 members have taken part in this program since it was launched in 1981.
