Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State for Tourism, French Nationals Abroad and Francophonie, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is taking part in a video conference today with the teams at our consulates general in Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Miami, New York, San Francisco and Washington. He will exchange views with French elected officials in the United States and representatives of the French community. Nearly 150,000 of our compatriots in the U.S. are registered on the list of French citizens living outside of France.

These conversations will deal with the consequences of the Covid-19 epidemic – health, travel, residency conditions in the U.S. – for our community.

Mr. Lemoyne will underscore France’s commitment to supporting our compatriots living in the U.S through consular services, social assistance and education.

He will respond live to questions from French citizens living across the Atlantic during a broadcast conducted in partnership with the French Morning media outlet at 8:00 P.M. Paris time:
