The 7th edition of the France-Atlanta festival will take place from October 12 to 21, 2016, on the initiative of the Consulate General of France in Atlanta and in partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology and 40 local and international actors.
“France-Atlanta” was created in 2010 and brings together more than 3,500 people every year to take part in multidisciplinary events devoted to promoting innovation and to cooperation between France and the southeastern United States.
This year, current issues, such as cybersecurity, climate and humanitarian crises will be discussed. A special event entitled “Cartooning For Peace: The Art of Democracy” devoted to the freedom of expression, will feature, in partnership with the Atlanta Press Club and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, the cartoonist Plantu and two members of his “Cartooning For Peace” network.
