Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State for Tourism, French Nationals Abroad and Francophonie, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will meet via video conference on February 12 with representatives of the French community in the United Kingdom, which numbers almost 150,000 French people registered as French citizens abroad.

Mr. Lemoyne will engage in a dialogue with the staff at our consulates in London and Edinburgh, elected officials representing French citizens in the United Kingdom, and representatives of the business community. He will address the repercussions of Brexit and Covid on our community in regard to health, jobs and travel. He will also emphasize France’s commitment to supporting our compatriots living in the United Kingdom in such areas as consular services, social assistance and education.

He will respond live to questions by French nationals living across the Channel in the course of a broadcast conducted in partnership with the media outlet Français à l’Etranger, which will be reposted on the Facebook page of the French Embassy in Great Britain (https://fr-fr.facebook.com/franceintheuk/).
