Q : Hello. Can you please clarify the quarantine and PCR testing requirements that will apply to visitors from the UK, including from when and for how long? Will there be a home monitoring system? Will these measures apply to all travelers or only to those who are not resident in France?

A : Increased health measures have been adopted with respect to persons travelling to France from the UK in light of the development of the so-called Indian variant.

Therefore, starting on Monday, May 31 at 12.00 am:

  • non-EU nationals who do not reside in France arriving in France from the UK will have to demonstrate an essential reason for their travel.
  • any person arriving in France from the UK will have to produce a PCR or antigen test carried out less than 48 hours before departure;
  • upon arrival, travelers must quarantine for 7 days. At this time, given the low incidence of Covid in the United Kingdom, systematic home monitoring will not apply to them.
