Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will visit London on Friday 25 October to meet the French community there.
With 140,000 people listed in the register of French people living outside France and over 3.8 million temporary stays every year, the United Kingdom hosts the second largest French community abroad.
The visit signals the Minister of State’s desire to reach out to French people living in the United Kingdom at a time when they are facing the consequences of Brexit.
The Minister of State will be available to talk to our compatriots about their concerns and the solutions implemented by the government to address them. He will also meet elected consular representatives, French voluntary organizations’ representatives and French Consulate staff.
Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne will convene a meeting of local Atout France teams to talk about the impact of Brexit on tourist flows to France and how to respond.
