The Paris-London Tandem 2015 from March to July will feature more than 50 cultural events in all artistic disciplines in both capitals thanks to a collaborative initiative between the Institut français and the City of Paris, in partnership with the British Council and the City of London.
Numerous prestigious institutions will take part in this event which will also showcase young creative talent and emerging artists. The event will kick off on March 3 at the Philharmonie de Paris with the “David Bowie is” exhibition while Juliette Binoche will appear in Sophocles’ Antigone at the Barbican from March 4 to 28. The Philharmonie will also host three special concerts performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. Several French exhibitions will take place at the same time in London: “Paul Durand-Ruel, Inventing Impressionism” at the National Gallery and the Sonia Delaunay retrospective at the Tate Modern.
Following the success of the Tandem events with Berlin, Buenos Aires and Dakar, the new edition of this unique cultural platform, launched on February 5, will highlight the richness and diversity of the intellectual and artistic relationship between the two capitals.
