United Arab Emirates - Visit by Jean-Yves Le Drian on the occasion of the Dubai World Expo (2 October 2021)

Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will visit the UAE on October 2.

The minister will take part in France National Day at the Dubai World Expo. He will meet with officials from the United Arab Emirates, the Emirate of Dubai, and the World Expo. The minister will take part in discussions with the partners of the France Pavilion, as well as with the pavilion’s sponsors, pastry chef Jessica Préalpato, and Thomas Pesquet via a live link-up from the International Space Station. He will pay tribute to the ambition of the pavilion, an exceptional showcase of French expertise and knowledge, as well as the richness of French-UAE relations and the embodiment of our environmental commitment.

The minister will express his desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation between France and the UAE with respect to scientific research and the development of economic sectors of the future, notably in the digital, space, health, and renewable energy spheres.
