Franck Riester, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will be in the United Arab Emirates on April 7 and 8

The Minister Delegate will attend the ceremony inaugurating the French pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai along with Reem Al Hashimy, the Emirati Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Director General of the Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau. At this event, he will applaud the ambition of this pavilion, which embodies our commitment to the environment, reflects the attractiveness of “Brand France” and highlights our companies’ innovation and expertise.

Mr. Riester will also hold talks with representatives of Emirati authorities and company heads, especially in the logistics and transport sectors, during which he will emphasize the dynamism and closeness of our strategic partnership and our desire to help support projects that diversify the Emirati economy. Indeed, the UAE is our 36th-largest trading partner with €3.9 billion in trade, and France is one of the leading investors in that country. This trip will also promote France’s economic attractiveness and the French innovation ecosystem to Emirati economic actors, especially within the framework of the France Recovery program.
