Q : Can you comment on Leonid Kuchma’s return to the Trilateral Contact Group on facilitating a resolution in the Donbas region? Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed him as the authorized representative of the Ukrainian state within this group.

A : Former President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma has been appointed by President Zelensky. Mr. Kuchma has experience with the Trilateral Contact Group, having presided over the activities of the Ukrainian delegation for the past few years. We hope that the discussions within this group will resume in a constructive atmosphere during the session due to start on Wednesday, June 5.
