Q. What is your response to Turkey’s plan to convert the Hagia Sophia into a mosque?

R. We will pay close attention to the preservation of the integrity of this jewel of world heritage, which has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A symbol of tolerance and diversity, this site must remain open to all.
