Syria – Human Rights – Conference on the consequences of the Syrian crisis (London, February 4, 2016)

Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, will represent France on February 4 at the conference in London organized by the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway and the UN secretary-general on the international community’s response to the consequences of the Syrian crisis.

The international community must continue to mobilize its efforts in support of Syria and support the countries affected by the crisis by helping them to address the challenges posed by the influx of millions of Syrian refugees and therefore maintain the stability of the entire region. Support for basic infrastructure, especially education and health services, will be critical.

France, in line with its commitment made at the start of the conflict, will continue to provide assistance to the Syrian people, in Syria and in the neighboring countries, whose generosity and solidarity must be saluted.
