Syria – Attack against a hospital in northwest Syria (22 Mar. 2021)

France utterly condemns the attack targeted yesterday against a hospital in Atareb in northwest Syria. It extends its condolences to the families and friends of the victims and reaffirms the obligation to ensure the protection of health personnel and infrastructure under international humanitarian law.

France calls for full light to be shed on the perpetrators of this attack, carried out in blatant violation of international humanitarian law. The location of this hospital had been transmitted to all parties. France reaffirms its support for the fight against impunity for the perpetrators of the most serious violations of international humanitarian law.
