Sweden – Visit by Laurence Boone (23-24 November 2022)

Laurence Boone, Minister of State for Europe, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will be in Stockholm on November 23 and 24 ahead of Sweden’s upcoming EU Council presidency. Sweden will hold that presidency during the first half of 2023 – the last chapter in the trio of presidencies comprising France, the Czech Republic and Sweden.

Following a meeting with researchers and journalists specialized in European issues, the minister of state will go to the Swedish Parliament for meetings with Matilda Ernkrans, vice-Speaker of the Committee on European Union Affairs, and with members of the France-Sweden Friendship Group.

Ms. Boone will meet with her Swedish counterpart, Jessika Roswall, to discuss European issues that are likely to arise during the first half of next year as well as the French-Swedish strategic partnership for innovation and green solutions.
During a visit to the Ericsson Imagine Studio, a business center focusing on R&D, the minister of state will discuss conditions for expanding this sector, which is strategic for the EU, along with possible partnerships between Sweden and France.
