Sweden – Meeting between Mr Clément Beaune and Mr Hans Dahlgren, Swedish Minister for European Union Affairs (Paris, 30 June 2021)

Mr Clément Beaune, Minister of State for European Affairs, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, received Mr Hans Dahlgren, Swedish Minister for EU Affairs, this morning.

The Minister of State addressed current affairs in Europe and the legislative packages under discussion among several EU Member States on issues of employment, digital technology and climate. The preparation of the trio of presidencies of the European Union between France, the Czech Republic and Sweden in 2022 and 2023 was also discussed.

Mr Clément Beaune spoke with his counterpart about the launching of the Conference on the Future of Europe and discussed the actions implemented in this context, in France and Sweden.

France and Sweden have a rich bilateral relationship, founded on a partnership for innovation and green solutions. Our two countries share the same combat for the rule of law and against discrimination, at the European and multilateral levels, and promote a feminist diplomacy.
