Sudan – Attack on United Nations Interim Force for Abyei (December 15, 2025)

France condemns in the strongest possible terms the December 13th drone attack on the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) in Kadugli, which claimed the lives of six Bangladeshi peacekeepers and left eight wounded.

France offers its condolences to the deceased soldiers’ families and loved ones and to the Bangladeshi authorities. We also wish those who were wounded a speedy recovery. Those responsible for this attack must be identified and held accountable.

France applauds UNISFA’s efforts and reiterates its full support for the Force.
